LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

The American Red Cross will open a shelter in Lancaster County to help residents displaced by power outages from today's storm.

The shelter will open at 3 p.m. at Living Hope Community Church, at 2823 Columbia Avenue, in East Hempfield Township.

The Lancaster County Animal Response Team will be at the church for residents' pets.

The shelter will remain open until residents are able to return to their homes.

The Red Cross said it is ready to provide additional services, such as overnight sheltering, should it become necessary.
