LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

UPDATE AT 7:30 a.m.

Police believe the suspects are traveling back into Pennsylvania from New Jersey.

PREVIOUSLY REPORTED:

State Police have issued an Amber Child Abduction Alert for the Lancaster City Police Department.

On February 6 at 7:30 p.m., police said Erielys Ahorrio, 3, and John Ahorrio, 4,  were abducted from a residence on Almanac Avenue in Lancaster City.

State police say Eddie Ahorrio Jr., 23, and Eddie Ahorrio Sr., 47, abducted the children from the residence at gunpoint following an altercation.  They are the father and grandfather of the children, police said.

"(They) forced their way into the home on Almanac Avenue," said Sgt. Nathan Nickel. "The father of the children had a gun the grandfather had a pipe wrench. There was an assault that occurred inside the apartment. They forcefully took the 3 and 4-year-old children out of the house and put them into the Nissan vehicle and they fled the scene."

It's believe the pair are traveling in a black Nissan Altima bearing Pa. registration JJG-8170. It is also believed they may be traveling to Massachusetts.

Anyone with information or who thinks they may have spotted the vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
