Dover Township man charged in 11 home burglaries

DOVER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York County man is facing charges in several burglaries where copper piping was stolen from vacant or abandoned homes.

James Bruce Boring III, 23, of Dover Township, has been charged or will be charged in 11 burglaries that occurred in the township between January 2012 and January 2014, according to Northern York County Regional police.

Boring allegedly burglarized eight homes. A home in the 2300 block of Tower Drive was burglarized twice and another home in the 2900 block of Village Square Drive was burglarized three times, police said.

Charges against him include burglary, criminal trespass, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and criminal mischief.

Police said their investigations into the crimes continues. Anyone with information is asked to call Northern York County Regional police at 717-292-3647.
