NEW OXFORD, Pa. (WHTM) -

A New Oxford man faces charges after reportedly striking a trash truck worker in the face during a road rage incident.

The victim, a 26-year-old Shippensburg man, was working on a trash truck in the area of Hunterstown Hampton and Oxford roads in Straban Township, Adams County at around 1:05 p.m. on Saturday at the time of the incident.

A driver in a Mustang, later identified as 22-year-old Nathan Allen Shrader, was following the trash truck and tried to pass when oncoming traffic was approaching.

The trash truck driver's passenger then blew the truck's air horn, and Shrader stopped his vehicle and confronted the victim. According to state police, Shrader then struck the trash truck driver in the face.

Shrader was charged with harassment.
