Lancaster police have identified a suspect in a weekend shooting incident that seriously injured another man.

Jorge Omar Garcia Jr., 19, is wanted for a shooting in the area of Queen and James streets Sunday at 2:15 p.m., police said.

He has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and a firearms offense.

Police believe Garcia shot a 24-year-old Lancaster man in the torso while the two were involved in an altercation.

The victim was driven to a hospital in a private vehicle and was listed in serious but stable condition.

Police are also looking for a suspect in a second shooting incident Sunday just after 11 p.m. in the 200 block of E. Clay Street.

The victim in that incident, a 20-year-old man, was treated for a gunshot wound to his lower body that is not believed to be life-threatening, police said.
