Police: Clear snow and ice from vehicles

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

State police say they've seen an increase in the number of crashes and injuries caused by snow and ice falling from moving vehicles in south central Pennsylvania.

With another winter storm in the forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, police are encouraging drivers to remove all snow and ice from their vehicles before driving.

Under Pennsylvania law, drivers can face fines of $200 to $1,000 when snow or ice falls from their moving vehicle, strikes another vehicle or pedestrian and causes death or serious injury.
