Carlisle man jailed for assault with metal pole

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Carlisle man was arrested after he assaulted two people and struck one of them in the head with a metal pole, police said.

James S. Bacon Jr., 42, has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, and public drunkenness, according to Carlisle police.

His bail at Cumberland County Prison was set at $60,000 cash.

Bacon assaulted both victims at his home in the 200 block of N. Hanover Street early Tuesday, police said.

A 22-year-old man suffered a severe laceration to his head and was treated at a hospital.
