LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Lancaster County man was taken into custody after a high-speed crash with his child in the vehicle, and a passenger in his vehicle was arrested for assaulting a police officer.

Manheim Township police said they took 29-year-old Matthew Moore of Ronks into custody for suspicion of DUI and reckless endangerment, while 28-year-old Anthony Lutz of Lancaster was arrested for aggravated assault, obstruction, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Moore crashed and rolled his vehicle on Route 30 East, near the Route 222 exit, just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Witnesses estimated the speed of the vehicle at 90 to 100 mph just before the crash, police said.

His 9-year-old son was taken to a hospital for treatment of a mouth injury, police said.

Police said Lutz attempted to interfere with the investigation and then grabbed an officer and a struggle ensued.

He was sent to Lancaster County Prison on $20,000 cash bail.
