Most of the wintry weather will be over with around daybreak. Accumulations are only expected to average around a coating in most areas, to 1-2" in the highest elevations of the Alleghany Highlands.

With snow already on the ground, the biggest and most noticeable impact will be a thin layer of wintry mix on area roads. Be especially careful if our driving overnight and for the morning commute.

The mix will start by 10 p.m. and last through the night, ending by 5-6 a.m.
