ETTERS, Pa. (WHTM) -

An Etters woman was arrested after she tried to stab her husband during an argument, according to police.

Debra Groff, 55, was taken into custody Sunday afternoon at her home in the 600 block of Salem Road, Fairview Township police said.

Groff allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen, then went into a bedroom and attempted to stab her husband in the chest, police said.

Her husband was able to take the knife from her. He suffered non-life threatening injuries during the attack, and refused EMS transport to a hospital, police said.

She was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment before she was released on $12,500 bail.
