Police in York County have filed charges against a woman, after officers said she faked being attacked while pregnant.
Back in November, 20-year-old Rheatha Strickland of Hallam told police a stranger with a knife repeatedly cut her on the arm outside her home, police said. Her wounds were not life-threatening and her unborn child was not harmed.
Police released a sketch of the man Strickland described, but after further investigation, authorities said they believe she made it all up. Strickland has been charged with making a false report.
