HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) -

A former Milton Hershey School assistant ice hockey coach is headed to trial on charges he molested a student for several years.

During a preliminary hearing Thursday, a district judge found enough evidence against Richard Gingrich to forward the case to Dauphin County court.

Gingrich, 48, of York, allegedly molested the former Milton Hershey student numerous times while the boy was between 11 and 15 years old.

His alleged victim, who is now 24 years old, testified that Gingrich assaulted him in a locker room bathroom at the school's hockey rink, at the coach's apartments in Lebanon and Palmyra, and in a school supply building.

He said Gingrich continued to sexually assault him after the coach was dismissed from the school.

Gingrich is scheduled for a formal arraignment April 8 on 27 charges, including 21 felony counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, and unlawful contact with minors.
