PennDOT crews are working on state roads throughout the region.
Officials say in some places, holes may get a temporary fix until spring because companies they get hot material from do not open until the weather gets warmer.
Drivers may see more potholes form as we continue through the thaw and freeze cycle.
PennDOT officials say they can't patrol roads for problem spots, so they rely on the public to report potholes.
They are asking motorists to call 1-800-FIX-ROAD, and say they will come out as soon as possible to make repairs.
