For those looking to shake off the cold and snowy winter of 2013-2014, this weekend was just what the doctor ordered. With the help of abundant sunshine, temperatures climbed into the lower 50s both Saturday and Sunday, but winter still has some fight left in her.
Monday the cold air returns to Central PA on a stiff northwesterly wind making it feel very cold for this time of year. Afternoon highs will get into the mid 30s, but the winds will make it feel more like the 20s.
Forecast models do try and develop another storm for the middle part of the week, but it does not look all that impressive. Right now the best chance to see some accumulating snow would be late in the day Wednesday, possibly even into Thursday. But at this point I wouldn't bank on this storm producing much for our region. It may likely just skip right out to sea with weak development.
Temperatures will remain cold through the upcoming week with highs in the 30s, if not 20s by Thursday and Friday. There is another chance of either rain or snow by Saturday, but that storm too looks rather weak in the longer range forecasts.
