A new poll shows Governor Tom Corbett trails several possible Democratic challengers, especially York County businessman Tom Wolf.

Wolf tops Corbett 52-33 percent in the Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.

U.S. Representative Allyson Schwartz leads Corbett 44-38 percent, and Treasurer Rob McCord is ahead of the incumbent governor 43-36 percent.

Former DEP Secretary John Hanger is ahead of Corbett 40-37 percent, ex-DEP Secretary and former presidential advisor Katie McGinty leads the governor 40-38 percent, and former Auditor General Jack Wagner tops Corbett 44-37 percent, according to the poll.

Corbett has a negative 36-52 percent approval rating in the poll. Voters say 55-34 percent that he does not deserve reelection.

The telephone survey of 1,405 registered voters was conducted February 19-24 and has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 2.6 percent.
