NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) -
Three people were injured in a four-vehicle crash this morning that backed up Interstate 83 northbound traffic before the York split.
State police said the three were transported to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries after a tractor-trailer driver collided with a sedan and caused the chain-reaction crash near the Limekiln Road exit.
A pickup truck involved in the collision overturned in the right shoulder.
Police said the tractor-trailer driver would be cited for the crash.
All northbound lanes were closed when the crash occurred before 9 a.m.
PennDOT cameras showed a four-mile traffic backlog to the Fishing Creek exit.
One lane reopened at 9:20 a.m. and the crash scene was cleared shortly before 10 a.m.
