Alabama baseball shutout by No. 10 Louisiana-Lafayette, 2-0

Alabama's offense was no match for Austin Robichaux.

He threw a complete game shutout in No. 10 Louisiana-Lafayette's 2-0 win over the Tide on Friday night.

Alabama, who's ranked No. 21 in the nation by Baseball America, managed just seven singles off Robichaux and struck out 11 times on it's way to it's second straight loss.

The Tide (4-4) lost at Southern Miss, 2-1 on Wednesday.

Alabama starter Spencer Turnbull was almost as good as his Ragin Cajuns' counterpart. Turnbull allowed two hits and two unearned runs in 6 2/3 innings.

Turnbull committed a pair of throwing errors in the sixth inning which led to both Louisiana-Lafayette runs.

The teams will play twice more this weekend. Saturday's game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
