HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Harrisburg man was arrested when he showed up at a Steelton elementary school to pick up a student and smelled of alcohol, according to police.

Stephen Hill, 54, refused a blood-alcohol test and was charged with DUI and driving under suspension, Swatara Township police said.

Hill was picking up a student at the Tri-Community Elementary School, at 255 Cypress Street, when he caught the attention of a police officer on a routine patrol, authorities said.

He was stopped before he could drive off the school property, police said.
