CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Carlisle man was arrested after he stabbed a man during a fight in his W. Louther Street home early Thursday, borough police said.

Michael Johnson, 28, faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and tampering with evidence.

The victim told police he went to Johnson's place to drink beer at around 1 a.m., but when he walked into the home he said Johnson lunged at him and grabbed at his pockets, according to police.

The two fought and the 24-year-old victim was stabbed in the upper left thigh while trying to get away, police said.

He escaped after spraying mace in Johnson's face, police said.
