Tuscaloosa teenager facing rape and sodomy charges

Tuscaloosa police have charged an 18-year-old with rape and sodomy.

Investigators arrested 18-year-old Obrien Cowley for rape second degree and sodomy second degree on March 3, 2014. The arrest stems from a report that was filed on February 11, 2014. Investigators say the incident occurred on February 6, 2014 in the 3400 block of 29th Street. The victim in the case was 15 years old at the time of the incident and the suspect was 18.

Investigators say he was already in jail on non-related charges when the warrants were served.
