PennDOT will restrict traffic to a single lane on Interstate 83 northbound in southern York County beginning at 9 p.m. tonight.
Workers will repair a dip in the road that was caused by a deteriorating drainage pipe about 1.2 miles north of the Maryland state line, PennDOT spokesman Greg Penny said.
The single-lane traffic restriction will remain in place over the weekend until the work is completed.
It is possible the work may finish sooner, Penny said.
I-83 South was restricted to a single lane in the area last Friday night, but was closed entirely between early Saturday and early Sunday due to safety concerns about the stability of the pavement.
