Two Waynesboro men have been arrested on charges they were downloading and distributing child pornography over the Internet.
Joe Barclay, 59, and Evan Lawbaugh, 30, were charged Thursday in unrelated cases, according to a news release from the state attorney general's office.
Investigators said they searched Barclay's home at 18 1/2 S. Grant Street and seized various computers and other electronic media.
A preliminary review of the items revealed at least 15 video files allegedly containing child pornography, and suspected child pornographic images on a cellular phone, authorities said.
Barclay was charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of distribution of child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
His bail at the Franklin County Prison was set at $300,000.
Lawbaugh, authorities said, had a laptop computer and three thumb drives seized from his home at 210 Homewood Avenue, and at least 15 files of suspected child pornography was found during a preliminary review.
He was charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of distribution of child pornography, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility before going to the prison, also on $300,000 bail.
