WEST YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police in West York are investigating a shooting incident reportedly involving two vehicles on Sunday night.

Officers with West York Borough Police Department were dispatched to the 1000-1100 blocks of West Princess Street at around 10:30 p.m. for a report of several gunshots being fired from one vehicle to another.

Patrolmen met with residents who reported hearing three to four gun shots. Witnesses added that they saw occupants in two vehicles, one white sedan and one black sedan, firing handguns from these vehicles somewhere in the area of the 1000 block of West Princess Street, just west of the Borough & York City line.

These two vehicles then fled the borough and traveled into York City. Evidence was collected from the scene, which confirmed that at least one handgun was fired.
