Police in Lancaster County say a woman told them that her boyfriend bit off her ear during an argument. Her injury required numerous stitches.
On March 8 at around 3:25 a.m., Elizabethtown Police were contacted by area hospital staff regarding a patient in their Emergency Department who was reportedly injured during a domestic assault.
Officers interviewed the woman at the hospital, at which time she told police that her boyfriend had bitten her ear off during an argument outside their Elizabethtown apartment in the 400 block of West High Street.
The victim was treated for a bite injury to her ear, which required a number of stitches.
As a result of the investigation, 31-year-old Jose H. Perez of Elizabethtown was charged with aggravated assault.
Perez was taken into custody and arraigned at Central Booking before being committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 cash bail.
