LEWISBERRY, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York County woman accused of slashing her 2-year-old son's neck is headed to trial on attempted homicide and other charges.

A district judge on Wednesday found enough evidence against 36-year-old Candis S. Bradshaw to order the case held for court.

A formal arraignment was scheduled April 25.

Bradshaw allegedly cut the boy on both sides of his neck with a 12-inch butcher knife at their Fairview Township home Jan. 17, according to police.

The boy was released from a hospital just days after the incident.

Bradshaw had also stabbed herself in the chest when police and emergency responders were sent to the home in the first block of Foxfire Lane, police said.

According to charging documents, she had suffered from postpartum depression after her son was born and recently became anxious and depressed.

Bradshaw was returned to York County Prison following the preliminary hearing. Her bail is set at $200,000 cash.

She also faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
