One man was arrested and another is being sought after shots were fired during a reported car chase in York on Sunday evening.

Officers with West York Borough Police Department were dispatched to the 1000-1100 blocks of West Princess Street at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night for a report of shots fired.

Patrolmen met with two people who reported that they were driving through York City when two other vehicles—a white sedan and a black SUV—began chasing them.

The victims told police that the drivers tried to box or trap their vehicle at the intersection of South Richland and College avenues. The victims were able to maneuver around this blocking tactic, eventually traveling west on West Princess Street entering West York Borough.

The black Honda SUV got behind the victims vehicle in the 1000 block West Princess Street, and the passenger began firing several rounds from a firearm towards the victims, chasing them down the road.

West York Borough Police identified one suspect as 21-year-old Anthony Lamont Real of West King Street as the passenger of the black Honda SUV who was reportedly firing a weapon.

On Monday at around 9:30 p.m., police executed a search warrant at Real's residence and took him into custody.

Real was charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person. He was arraigned then incarcerated at the York County Prison. His bail was set at $40,000.

Authorities are still seeking information on the driver of the black Honda SUV, described as a Hispanic man in his mid-late 30s. Police believe he was also firing a handgun.
