HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Computer Aid, Inc., an IT services firm, has established an office in Harrisburg and will create 50 new high-paying jobs.

CAI leased space at Harrisburg University and plans to invest nearly $1.3 million in the project, including fitting out the building space to accommodate new computer systems, new offices and conference rooms, Governor Tom Corbett announced.

The company has also committed to creating at least 50 new jobs and retaining 619 more positions over the next three years, Corbett said in a news release.

In addition to the new, permanent jobs, CAI will be using part-time college students to fill some project roles, providing the students with real world experience, Corbett said.

CAI is a global IT services firm with a network of support centers in the U.S. and abroad. It was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1981 and is headquartered in Allentown.
