    The SEC Network continues to gear up for its debut on Aug. 14, reaching deals with the nation's largest cable providers in time for the upcoming college football season. largest new launch in cable history after locking up a carriage deal with Charter Communications this week. The SEC Network will have exclusive broadcast rights to the first three rounds of the SEC Basketball Tournament beginning in 2015.

"This is an example of the in-depth basketball coverage the SEC Network will give fans across the country," sand SEC Commissioner Mike Slive in a release. " From November 14 through early March, fans will be able to turn to the SEC Network to follow their favorite SEC basketball teams."

The SEC Network will launch on August 14. ESPN senior vice president Justin Connelly promises that the network "will provide more coverage of SEC men's basketball than ever before".

    The leading scorer on the UAB basketball team is leaving the program. Guard Chad Frazier was granted his release and will not return."Chad Frazier has been granted his release from our program," head coach Jerod Haase said in a statement. "We appreciate his contributions to our program and wish him the best." Frazier, a first team All-Conference USA selection, was arrested last month and charged with third degree domestic violence.
