State police are looking for the man who robbed the F&M Trust bank in Boiling Springs; marking the second holdup in the borough in as many weeks.
Police said the robber demanded money from a cashier Friday at 11:45 a.m. and received an undetermined mount of cash. He then fled the bank at 3 East 1st Street on foot.
No weapon was displayed and no bank employees were injured, police said.
The robbery caused a partial lockdown of three buildings on the campus of the South Middleton School District; Boiling Springs High School, Yellow Breeches Middle School and the Iron Forge Educational Center.
Administrators said students were not permitted to leave the school buildings for outside activities, but classes were not interrupted.
The robbery is similar to one that occurred in Boiling Springs two weeks ago, on Feb. 27, at the M&T Bank on Forge Road.
In both incidents, police said the robber was described as a white male, about 6'0" tall, with a slim to medium build. He used a black mask to hide his face, and he was carrying a black bag.
In last month's holdup, the robber wore a gray hooded jacket with the hood pulled tight. In Friday's incident, the jacket was described as either black or blue, police said.
