Man, 21, critical following York shooting

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

A man is in critical condition following a shooting in York City on Monday afternoon.

At around 2:05 p.m., the York City Police Department was dispatched to the 300 block of East Maple Street for a report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found 21-year-old Jamal Qasim-Vernon Drake, who had been shot multiple times. Drake was taken by ambulance to York Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

At 3 p.m., the York City Police Department arrested 20-year-old Daquan Romell Drummond and charged him with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy and robbery.

Investigators are still actively investigating this incident and are attempting to identify two more suspects.
