HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Special parking rates will be available Saturday for those watching or participating in the Harrisburg St. Patrick's Day Parade.

An all-day flat rate of $10 will be available at the Market Square Garage, and parking at the 7th Street Garage will be $5 for the day.

Regular hourly rates apply at the Walnut, Chestnut, and River Street garages, but those garages will be difficult to reach in the hours leading up to and during the parade.

The parade will start at Walnut Street and Commonwealth Avenue, proceed south on Walnut to 2nd Street, then turn west onto North Street. The parade ends at North Street and Commonwealth Avenue.

Parking will not be permitted along the parade route.

This will be the first Saturday where parking is not free in the city.
