UPDATE: Woman Accused of Stabbing Housekeeper at Comfort Inn Waives Preliminary Hearing

UPDATE: A woman charged with stabbing a housekeeper had her charges certified to a grand jury Tuesday.

30 year old Brenda Hess is charged with malicious wounding and abduction by force.

Tuesday Hess waived her preliminary hearing in Montgomery County General District Court.
   
Deputies responded to the Comfort Inn on Tyler Road earlier back in March and found the housekeeper near the lobby.
   
They say Hess was locked in a room they were able to talk her out and take her into custody.
   
The victim had non-life threatening injuries.

Montgomery Co., VA - A 30 year old woman has been charged with Malicious Wounding and Abduction by Force after allegedly stabbing a hotel housekeeper.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the Comfort Inn on Tyler Road Wednesday morning after receiving a call that someone had been stabbed.

Deputies found the victim near the lobby of the hotel and the suspect was locked in one of the hotel rooms.

After a brief bit of negotiating, deputies were able to take Brenda L. Hess into custody without further incident.

The victim has been treated for non-life threatening injuries.


The incident remains under investigation.
