GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

State prosecutors have arrested a Gettysburg couple for allegedly fabricating a scheme to divert materials and money from a Dauphin County plastics company.

Douglas Miller, 46, and his girlfriend, 33-year-old Morgan Stocker, also misrepresented a business merger to the company's customers, according to the attorney general's office.

Miller, while working as a salesman at Central Distribution Company in Highspire, led customers to believe that the company had been bought by AAR Supply and Fabrication, a company he owned, according to the criminal complaint.

He also directed Central Distribution's customers to sent payments to AAR, the complaint states.

In addition, the complaint states Miller and Stocker created three shell companies to submit invoices to Central Distribution, for which Miller received commissions.

Miller fraudulently diverted more than $69,000 in commissions, purchases and materials through the scheme, according to investigators.

Each was charged with conspiracy, deceptive or fraudulent business practices, and securing execution of documents by deception. Miller faces two additional counts of theft by deception.
