York voids street sweeping tickets issued in error

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

The City of York is voiding street sweeping tickets that were issued in error Saturday.

Mayor Kim Bracey said the tickets were erroneously issued between the hours of 12 a.m. and 2:30 a.m.

She said residents in the areas affected will receive a letter in the mail explaining the incident and do not need to contact the York City Parking Bureau.

Bracey apologized for the inconvenience. She said measures have been put in place to make sure it does not happen again.

The affected streets as follows:

- Park Street, N. Hartley Street to Company Street,

- Manchester Street, Company Street to W. Philadelphia Street, 

- Company Street, Manchester Street to Belvidere Street,

- Lincoln Street, Belvidere Avenue to West Street,

- West Street, Pennsylvania Avenue to W. College Avenue,

- N. Albermarle Street, Railroad to Wayne Avenue,

- N. Lehman Street, E. Philadelphia Street to E. Market Street,

- N. Harrison Street, E. Market Street to Wallace Street,
