A 31-year-old woman faces charges after she reportedly told her son to help her hide items while shoplifting at a Lancaster Walmart.
According to the East Lampeter Township Police Department, the incident took place at the Walmart in the 2000 block of Lincoln Highway East on Sunday at 2:25 p.m.
Walmart Loss Prevention reported that Christina Sirgenson, 31, of Lancaster concealed a Lego set valued at $69.97 under a blanket in a shopping cart. Officials said Sirgenson directed her 7-year-old son to help hide the item.
She also reportedly concealed paint and seeds valued at $15.16 in her purse, then she exited the store without paying.
Sirgenson was taken into custody and charged with felony retail theft (due to prior retail theft dispositions) and misdemeanor corruption of minors. She was arraigned at LCP Central Booking.
