$40K in jewelry stolen in burglary of Ephrata store

EPHRATA, Pa. (WHTM) -

Police are looking for the burglar who stole more than $40,000 worth of jewelry from a Lancaster County store.

Ephrata police said the burglar early Tuesday forced open a gate in the garden area of the Kmart at 1127 S. State Street, then smashed the glass out of two sets of doors.

He then entered the main part of the store, smashed the jewelry cases, and stole jewelry with a retail value of $41,678, police said.
