WRIGHTSVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) -

Search teams have recovered the boat of a York County man who disappeared with his girlfriend last week.

The empty, partially submerged boat was removed from the river Thursday afternoon and brought to shore at a boat ramp in Lower Windsor Township.

Police confirmed it belongs to 42-year-old Cody Wilkenson of Hellam Township, who was last seen heading out on the river with 55-year-old Elizabeth Dorsaneo a week ago.

Investigators say there is no evidence to suggest the couple met with foul play. They said their best guess is that either the boat went underwater and Wilkenson and Dorsaneo went into the river, or they were thrown out of the boat.

Police are looking for any possible mechanical problems. They noted the boat is in poor condition, and was in reverse with the ignition on when they found it.

Investigators are also interviewing family members and examining cellphone records.

"Also, we're gonna look at some financial stuff to see if they had any withdrawals from their bank accounts or any contact there," Hellam Township Police Chief Mark Sowers said.

Dorsaneo, of Thorndale, Chester County, was reported missing by her family over the weekend after she missed work and another function on Friday.

Police said another boater spotted Wilkenson's boat in the middle of the Susquehanna on Saturday and towed it and to a shallow part of the river.

Investigators have also recovered Wilkenson's truck and boat trailer.
