Spring Grove store robbed 3rd time this year

Posted: Updated:
SPRING GROVE, Pa. (WHTM) -

A York County thrift store was robbed Thursday night for the third time since January 1.

A man believed to be armed with a knife held up the Dollar General at 2100 Thistle Hill Drive in Spring Grove while the doors were partially locked after 9 p.m., Northern York County Regional police said.

The robber, dressed in all black clothing, appeared at the entrance and pulled on the doors until eventually they opened. He then entered the store and demanded money, police said.

No employees were injured.

Police said it is too early in the investigation to determine whether the bandit is the same man who robbed the store on Jan. 1 and Jan. 15.

In both of those heists, the robber was armed with a knife when he demanded cash, according to police.

Anyone with information may call Northern York County Regional police at 717-292-3647.
