I-83 work rescheduled for Monday night due to weather

Posted: Updated:
YORK, Pa. (WHTM) -

Repair work on Interstate 83 originally scheduled for Sunday night in York County has been postponed to Monday, March 31 due to weather conditions.

The right lane of I-83 northbound and southbound will be closed at around 9 p.m. on Monday.

The work zone is in the vicinity of Loucks Mill Road, between Exit 19 for Market Street and Exit 21 for Route 30 just north of York City.

The single-lane traffic restrictions are necessary so that construction crews can make concrete patch repairs to the decks of the bridges over Codorus Creek, Loucks Mill Road, and the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks, the release stated.

The work should be completed by 6 a.m. Tuesday.

The left lanes of I-83 in the area were repaired two ago.
