Mechanicsburg woman charged with forgery, theft

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A Mechanicsburg woman has been charged with 214 counts of forgery, theft and fraud for making unauthorized credit card purchases at Cumberland County businesses.

Silver Spring Township police said 21-year-old Margaret Sarah Miller admitted to possessing and using the credit cards.

The card owner had reported in September that two of her credit cards had been used at various business in and surrounding the township.

Miller was identified as the suspect from security camera video from many of the businesses, police said.

She was charged with 68 felony counts of forgery, 78 counts of access device fraud, and 68 counts of theft by deception.

Her bail was set at $25,000 unsecured.
