A 75-year-old man was found dead after a fire Monday night in his Mountville home, according to state police.
The man's name has not been released because his family has not been notified.
Police said the man was the only person in the home in the 200 block of E. New Street when the fire started around 11 p.m.
His body was found on the second floor once firefighters were able to extinguish the flames. The house was fully engulfed with fire and smoke when responders arrived.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and an autopsy will be performed to determine what caused the victim's death, police said.
