A Cumberland County man is gearing up to run his first marathon; and it's the Boston Marathon.
Myson Mosemann of Monroe Township is running in Boston for his next door neighbor, Dave Brandt, and to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis, which Brandt suffers from.
Boston allows a certain number of runners without a qualifying time as long as they are doing it for charity. Myson is required to raise $4,000 for M-S.
"Really feel privileged for the opportunity that I have to do it," said Mosemann. "That I even have the health and strength to be able to run 26.2 miles."
"Just raising the awareness and raising the funds, it means so much," said Brandt. "It was a real honor for him to tell me he was running for the M-S Society."
Brandt is going to go to Boston with Mosemann and plans to cheer him as he crosses the finish line.
