A beautiful Sunday will be followed by calm conditions through the evening and much of the overnight hours. A light southerly breeze will allow for clouds and moisture to increase from the south by dawn. Low temperatures by Monday morning will be in the middle to upper 30s.
Monday morning begins mainly dry, but by late morning showers should begin to head north into our backyards. A steady rain arrives for Monday afternoon through early Tuesday morning. The rain will be heavy at times, but not unlike the rain we just experienced last Thursday and Friday. This rain event through Tuesday morning is on track to bring about an inch of total rainfall region-wide with higher amounts likely approaching an inch and a half.
Beyond the forecast for Tuesday the rest of the week remains generally quiet. Wednesday and Thursday offer seasonal conditions and a cold front arrives Friday. If conditions become moist and warm enough we may see a few thunderstorms by Friday. The upcoming pattern also provides solid evidence for temperatures in the upper 60s and possibly 70F by next weekend.
