Police: Man, 25, stabbed woman in face, neck

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

A 25-year-old man faces numerous charges after police say he stabbed a woman during a domestic dispute.

Saturday morning at around 7:05 a.m., Harrisburg Police responded to the scene of a reported assault in the 1300 block of South 13th Street. During their investigation, officers learned that the female victim was assaulted by Steven Ball III during a domestic dispute. The victim had since left for treatment at the hospital.

According to authorities, she suffered deep lacerations to the body, facial and neck area as a result of the assault. Ball was last seen fleeing the home.

Officers were able to track Ball down near the PennDot building. He was captured after a brief foot chase.

At the hospital, the victim confirmed to police that Ball had assaulted her. Her injuries reportedly are not life-threatening, but they are considered serious.

Ball faces numerous charges including aggravated assault and flight to avoid apprehension.
