6 CAT public meetings to be held before April 28 service

Capital Area Transit (CAT) announced that six CAT Carlisle Circulator public meetings will be held throughout Carlisle Borough before scheduled transit service begins on Monday, April 28.

"CAT routes are in place and public engagement meetings will begin on April 9 and conclude with a press event on Friday, April 25," said Bill Jones, CAT's general manager.

The schedule for CAT meetings is as follows:

Open Houses

4/9, Wed. 3 - 7 p.m.,  Farmers on the Square

4/22, Tues. 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., Dickinson College, HUB

4/22, Tues, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., YMCA

CAT Connect Carlisle

4/15, Tues. 10 - 11:30 a.m., Carlisle Senior Center @ Salvation Army

4/15, Tues. 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Hope Station, 149 W. Penn St.

4/22, Tues. 6 - 8 p.m., Carlisle Regional Medical Center

CAT Press Conference

4/25, Friday, 1 p.m., Dickinson College (media, public officials)

Bob Philbin—CAT's director of planning, customer experience & public information—explained that CAT Open House meetings will provide route and ticket information, bus safety tips and free public schedules.

"CAT Connect meetings are more detailed presentations to inform the public of service and gather input to finalize routes and bus stop locations." Philbin said.

A public press conference will also be held on Friday, April 25, to officially launch the CAT Carlisle Circulator.
