We've all seen the stickers of the stick figure family on a car. But officials warn to be careful about what you post on your car because it's information that can be seen by everyone, including burglars and child predators.
For example, the stick figure family can give rough ages of your kids, their interests and sometimes their names. They can also reveal what you do for a living.
Even your parking permit could tell a criminal where and when you work and when you won't be home.
Police just want people to be aware about the information out there.
"Just be cautious about what you're putting on your vehicle, be aware of what the ramifications might be," Derry Township Police Chief Patrick O'Rourke said.
