Anthony, Pultz Headed to Wrestling Hall of Fame

Lynchburg -  LCA wrestling coach Paul Anthony and referee and former Heritage coach Jeff Pultz will be inducted into the Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Saturday.

Anthony, who guided LCA to a state title last year and previously coached Brookville for 16 years, is being honored for 44 years of service to the sport as a competitor and coach.  The induction will be held Saturday in Glen Allen.

Paul Anthony, NATIONAL WRESTLING HOF INDUCTEE, said "When kids get down, I think I have the ability to get 'em back up to continue competing at a high level.  And you know I try really hard to make them think it's a lot more important than wins and losses.  You know what they gain from this sport, you know, as far as character, discipline, determination, I think are way more important than wins and losses."

Jeff Pultz, HALL OF FAME INDUCTEE (35 YRS. OFFICIATING), said "It's a team sport but it's a one-on-one sport.  And you know our job is to get it right each night, not saying that we get it right all the time.  But it's a great challenge for us."
