Armstrong World Industries held a ceremonial groundbreaking Friday on a project that will expand its Lancaster plant and bring home jobs from overseas.
Armstrong is investing $41 million to expand the Dillerville Road facility and move the production of luxury vinyl tile
U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey and Congressman Joe Pitts attended Friday's ceremony and applauded the expansion.
"When we're bringing jobs back from China, that's a really good story," Toomey said. "It's happening because we have a good work force, and it's happening, in part, to low-cost reliable energy we have in abundance that no one else in the world has."
The company expects to add 57 employees to the plant, starting in early 2015 when construction is complete.
