It seems to happen almost every year now-a-days: We go right from Winter into Summer. Temperatures came within a few degrees of hitting a record Sunday afternoon, sliding into the lower 80s for the first time since October!
We'll see more of that warmth for Monday but hold the sunshine. An increasing layer of clouds out ahead of a major-league cold front will keep us on the mostly cloudy side for much of Monday. Still our temperatures will climb to within a couple degrees of 80 again.
Then the rain arrives Tuesday, and with colder air to follow later in the day. It will be the type of day when the high temperature occurs in the morning, and we fall through the rest of the day. We'll likely pick up around an inch of rain during the day. In fact, it will likely end as a wintry mix later Tuesday night around our region. Accumulations, as always this time of year, would be minimal.
It will be windy and cooler for the middle of the week with temperatures barely climbing to 50 on Wednesday. Don't worry, it's finally back to a little Spring late in the week with afternoon highs into the lower 60s.
