HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) -

Dauphin County and Harrisburg officials are set to discuss a new plan to help crack down on illegal guns.

Under the initiative, Dauphin County judges will be asked to set bail at a minimum of $100,000 for anyone charged with illegally carrying a firearm.

In addition, teens 15 and older who are caught with an illegal gun will be placed in a juvenile detention facility.

The program is set to start April 21.

Dauphin County District Attorney Ed Marsico and Harrisburg Mayor Eric Papenfuse are expected to release more details about the initiative on Monday afternoon.
